     The street was draped in the shades of the night.  Shadows played games at the edges of the weak light cast by the sputtering street lamps.  The only sounds on the street were the clatter of the woman’s shoes as she walked from one flickering yellow pool of light to the next, her shadow dancing with the its partners in the night.     Her thoughts were on other places, light and airy compared to the darkness of her surroundings.  The flicker of a light caught her attention, breaking her from the daydream she had sunk into.  Slowly she turned, sure in her mind that her eyes would catch a glimpse of something behind her.     Nothi

        The last one of the night.  He stepped through the door and into the sterilized air of the hospital room that hung with the scent of his coming.  Sighing, he looked down at the wisp of humanity that laid n the crisp white sheets.  He hated cases like this, but there was nothing he could do to stop them.  Slowly, silent step after silent step, he made his way to the bedside.  Hopefully this would be fast, he would just do it and go.  No rushing in of the doctors, cries from desperate loved ones, or pleads to god to stop the pain.  Hopefully this would be one of the painless ones.        But hoping for something never made it true, and

     She looked around at the gleaming lights and rush of people from the middle of the crowded Tokyo crosswalk.   A small man stepped forward and stuck out his hand, "You're from the organization correct?"  His English was hard to hear through the heavy accent.  She looked at him blankly, copying his motions without speaking.  He looked at her hand and nodded to himself before nodding his head and grabbing her arm, "Come with me."      "My head," She sat on an uncomfortable chair next to the small man from the crosswalk.     &
